Ashland

Well,We made it home from Ashland Sunday evening about seven thirty. We made good time.It only took us about seven and one half hours. We had a good time. The services were good.We got to meet some new people and see some old friends too.We had three services. The first was Saturday morning and Bill Searles brought the message.Saturday evening it was my turn and Sunday morning Darrell Barker spoke. They all were good services and everyone seemed to enjoy them.Ruth Searles Ellis wasn't able to make the trip so Kay Cauthen jumped in and made sure we all ate to much. She and her helpers did a great job.On the drive down Friday the weather was great but it didn't last long.By Saturday evening it was raining and by Sunday morning it was pouring. We left right after the Sunday morning service so we could get home at a decent hour.Monday the fourth is Pams birthday so I took the day off so we could spend it together.I took her out to breakfast Monday morning and then she went shopping for flowers and plants for the garden. She ended up getting some flowers for the front of the house, tomatoe plants, and a rhubarb plant for me.She also got two plum trees for me to plant.By the time we were finished with all this,I was wore out.I don't work that hard at work...We topped the day off with a great steak and shrimp dinner. Now it's time to relax and have a nice cup of tea........
