My Birthday....

I suppose I should have expected it but I didn't.I was all ready to let my 60th birthday come and go without any fanfare but it didn't work out that way.Friday the 3rd was actually the big day but I went to work as usual.I had been sick earlier in the week so I didn't have a lot of plans for Saturday but I did want to get a few things done if the weather was good.The weather was great so I managed to get the lawn mowed and edged and the vehicles washed.Steve,Lisa,and William were comming over from Port Angeles to go to Harbor Freight Tools and bring Pam a china hutch that Lisa didn't want any more.After we got that unloaded Steve and William went to Harbor Freight and I thought I would go ahead and get cleaned up and maybe take a short nap.Pam had previously set up a dinner date with Johnny and Kay Rasmussen to celebrate Kay and my birthdays.Hers is on the 6th.When Steve and William got back they left to go home.John and Kay came to pick us up to go to dinner and when we got to the Outback Steakhouse Johnny let us out in front of the restaurant and he went and parked the car.Little did I realize he had a reason why he did that.He didn't want me to recognize any of the kids cars in the parking lot.When we got into the restaurant we were led around the corner to a table that was all set up and guess what.My whole family was there....I sure was surprised to say the least.I couldn't help but weep tears of joy to see them all there.What a wonderful birthday gift it was.I had no clue that they were going to do this,but as I said ,I should have known better.I don't know how you could have any better children than I have,and the Lord has blessed them with great companions to.Pam and I are truely blessed with such a great family.Dinner was great and after dinner we went over to John and Kay's for cake and ice cream.By the time the day was over I must have gained five pounds,but what a great day it was.I could never thank the Lord enough for the great family that I have.Steve,Lisa,William,Chris,LeAnn,Rebekah,Austin,Seth and Cheri.
