Sorry it has been so long since the last posting but this last couple of weeks has been pretty busy.The week of the fifth through the twelfth I worked over sixty hours of overtime.My weeks total time was over one hundred ten hours.The big question Why? Well, I work for the city of Tacoma in what they call Enviromental Services,better name,Sewer Rat.Our department is in charge of making sure that all of the sewer and storm system in the city works properly.Well, we had a big storm come through that week and things got exciting to say the least.We we're out all hours of the night in the flooded areas trying to help people with their flooded basements and streets.We even had to evacuate our city shop and treatment plant because of the fear of the Puyallup river breaching the banks of the river next to our facilities.With all the snow that we had and then the rain on top of it we had to much water for the system to handle.This last week things have finally settled down and I have been able to get a little rest.Things are getting back to normal.This weekend we are trying to get things done around the house so that next weekend we can go up to Ferndale where Cheri and Seth live to visit with them.They just got married last month so they want us to go up and meet some of Seths family that we haven't met yet.It will be nice to get away for a couple of days.Well, better go for now.I need to get out in the garage and try and finish Cheri's wedding present so we can take it with us when we go up next weekend.....
